About Treatment

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an evaluation by age 7. This doesn’t mean treatment will start immediately, but early detection can prevent more serious problems later.

Treatment time varies by individual case. Typical ranges are:

Modern braces are much more comfortable than in the past. You may experience mild soreness for a few days after adjustments, but most patients adjust quickly.
